Redefining Digital Storytelling for ADMAF’s “Layered Medium” Exhibition
The Challenge
The original exhibition page lacked visual hierarchy, engagement and usability.
It failed to capture the scale and sophistication of ADMAF’s cultural programming and didn’t reflect the aesthetic or conceptual identity of the Layered Medium exhibition.
CrisP Digital was brought in to completely reimagine the digital experience: one that would merge design, content and multimedia storytelling.
The Solution
We rebuilt the entire exhibition experience within Webflow, focusing on three key areas:
1. Design & Experience
We replaced the dated layout with an elegant magazine-style design, inspired by contemporary art publications.
Clean typography, immersive imagery and fluid structure helped communicate the exhibition’s conceptual themes of “open circuits” and layered mediums.
2. Dynamic CMS Framework
Using Webflow’s CMS collections, we structured the site to make event agendas, curator bios and panel discussions easily updatable by the ADMAF team, so no developer would be needed for future updates.
3. Immersive Video Integration
CrisP Digital produced a documentary-style walkthrough video of the exhibition, shot by a specialist art videographer, to give audiences a cinematic view of the space and recap of the exhibition so that it could live well on after it had closed.
This video became a storytelling anchor, enhancing engagement and dwell time.
The Outcome
The new exhibition page transformed how ADMAF presents art and culture online, something that will role out across the Abu Dhabi Festival website.
It’s now a benchmark for how cultural institutions can blend editorial design, interactivity, and digital storytelling within a Webflow framework.
Key Results:
Visually immersive experience aligning with ADMAF’s brand identity.
Simplified CMS for ongoing updates and content expansion.
Increased visitor engagement through multimedia integration.
Elevated digital presence consistent with global museum and festival standards.
